Veterans Service

Franklin County Veterans Service Commission assists veterans, their spouse, surviving spouse and their dependents with filing claims for possible benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Our agency may also provide short-term, emergency financial assistance for such things as mortgage/rent, utilities, food and other living essentials for eligible veterans who must be honorably separated from the military, resident of Franklin County for a minimum of 90 days, and provide proof of income and expenses for the past thirty days. Office hours are on a first come/first serve basis Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at offices located at Veterans Memorial, 250 W.
